Close windows
When I kill a run in ISIS by clicking on the window cross on top right of the window, it does not kill the process and still takes up the cpu usage. I have to go to the task manager and kill it manually.

Is that a known bug?
Thanks
Saber

Saber,
Thank you for your post.

This "functionality" of not always killing the process was introduced in the recent major version of the compiler.

The workaround for the time being is to use File > Exit command in the ISIS Flow/Run Log window if you would like to terminate the model run during the simulation.

The [x] button should work ok, when the simulation has already stopped running.

We are looking into the ways of solving this issue for the next releases.

Yes, this is a known issue. (It should be listed under "Known Problems" in the readme file and was also presented at last week's user meeting. I also intended posting the same here, but you've beaten me to it).

In my experience, this does not happen all the time, but have definitely experienced it more often than to be just a one-off.

The recommendation is to use File->Exit to close instead of the [x] button - this has no such issues.

This seems to have been a "feature" introduced in the latest version of the Fortran compiler - we are currently looking into ways of getting round this issue, which could involve reworking of the whole graphical output.

Thanks for posting,
Konrad
